PTA Funding Brings Artist-Inspired Projects to Every Grade Level

Thank you to our generous PTA for funding a special art program for our students, led by teaching artist Bethany White.

Students across all grade levels explored different art techniques and learned about well-known artists through hands-on projects:

• Kindergarten created butterflies while learning about symmetry.
• 1st grade made glass heart magnets.
• 2nd grade created “puddle art” inspired by Claude Monet.
• 3rd grade designed fabric tulips inspired by artist Georgia O’Keeffe.
• 4th grade created fused glass pendants, exploring color inspired by Wassily Kandinsky.
• 5th grade made paper quilling trees inspired by Gustav Klimt’s Tree of Life.

This program gave students the chance to be creative, try new materials, and connect their work to artists from around the world.
